Chris McCarthy - Agency Principal

Chris is the owner and founder of The Insurance Outlet. Chris moved to the lakes region in 2004 after graduating with a Business Administration and Finance degree from the University of New Hampshire. After 7 years of working and learning the industry, Chris decided to make a go of it on his own, buying and renovating an office on Court Street and starting The Insurance Outlet from scratch in June of 2009.

Soon after moving to the Lakes Region, Chris quickly learned the value of a strong local community. He got involved with BIBA, the Belknap Independent Business Alliance to help spread the message of supporting independent and locally owned businesses. He now serves on the Board of Directors and Treasurer of this non-profit organization. Chris also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Lakes Region Santa Fund helping lakes region families throughout the year.

Chris resides in Belmont with his wife Janelle. Outside of the office you can find Chris boating, slicing and hooking golf balls, and tending to his lawn. He feels lucky to be able to work, live, play and enjoy all that the lakes region has to offer!

Tim Gerry - Personal & Commercial Agent

Tim has been with The Insurance Outlet since June 2010 as a personal and commercial lines agent. Tim was born and raised in Wakefield, MA and attended the University of New Hampshire, graduating with a Bachelors degree in Business Management. He prides himself on the personal service that he is able to provide all his clients. You can typically find him at the office well off regular business hours.

In the Spring & Summer you can find Tim whacking golf balls with Chris, faithfully cheering on the Bruins and Red Sox and spending time with his family and friends. During the Winter months Tim enjoys lacing up the skates and playing pickup hockey games at Gilford & Laconia Ice Arenas. He also volunteers his time to coach with Lakes Region Youth Hockey.

Janelle McCarthy - Office Manager

Janelle is not only Chris' wife, but also the one who helps keep things organized. Janelle graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Masters degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders. She works as a Speech Pathologist and Rehab Program Manager at a local Skilled Nursing Facility. Janelle spends her 'time-off' by helping with the accounting, processing and customer service of the agency.

Janelle enjoys boating, reading and traveling outside of her numerous jobs.
